Due to this extreme confinement using microfluidic technology, the volumes used for drug assays and similar studies are tiny (milliliters to femtoliters), and special physics can apply. Moreover, in a microfluidic device there are only laminar flows and no turbulences, which can guarantee a highly controlled fluidic flow, diffusion of drugs and the progress of reactions. Our team has the strong expertise in numerical modelling and simulation of mass diffusion under various flows (e.g. laminar flow and porous media). Therefore, we not only can deliver customer-design of the microfluidic chips for drug testing, but also are able to provide technical consulting service about the R&D in the application of microfluidic chips in drug testing.
